Kerala Angel Network (KAN), one of India’s foremost networks of angel investors, has announced an investment of ₹6 crore for the fiscal year 2024-2025, focusing on a diverse range of high-potential startups.
The announcement was made on the concluding day of the TiEcon 2024, the premier conference for entrepreneurs in the state. At the event’s Capital Café Pitching Session, startups had the chance to present their ideas and secure funding.
Raveendranath Kamath, President of KAN, emphasized the network’s mission of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
“As the funding arm of TiE Kerala, we aim to invest in and mentor early-stage startups, helping them scale and succeed. Our 70+ member network, comprising founders, professionals, and family offices, is committed to supporting transformative ideas,” he said.
KAN plans to focus its investments on high-growth sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), women’s wellness, tech-enabled services, and consumer products. These funds will empower startups to innovate and address emerging market demands while delivering value to entrepreneurs and investors alike.
Over the coming year, KAN will support seven promising startups, each poised to drive growth and innovation in its field.
Among the beneficiaries are- Premagic, an AI-powered event tech platform redefining event planning and management; Femisafe, a D2C feminine hygiene brand promoting women’s wellness with high-quality products; Nutrizoe, a D2C nutrition brand addressing women’s unique health needs with tailored offerings; Cookd, a D2C ready-to-cook meal provider catering to fast-paced lifestyles (follow-on investment); Nymbleup, an AI-driven workforce scheduling tool optimizing productivity and efficiency; Quickshift, a logistics platform simplifying warehousing and order fulfilment for businesses, and Rosh.ai, an autonomous vehicle startup reshaping the future of transportation.
